UCSD/VA MRI Contrast Reaction Kits

Due to recent policy change, contrast reaction kits are no longer located in cupboards. This is to ensure secured storage and to prevent expired products from being used.

They are now ONLY accessible via Pyxis machines (Omnicell at VA), which all technologists (not residents/fellows) have access to

In the event of a contrast reaction, technologists must promptly log in to Pyxis machine, type “C-O-N” or “K-I-T” to retrieve the kits

The Pyxis and Omnicell are located in the MRI suites (images below)
